It’s heart wrenching that what brought me and these friends together recently was the passing of their older brother, a young (only 27!), vibrant and incredibly intelligent doctor. He was simply amazing: a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, a graduate of UCLA medical school, and he just finished 1 year of his residency at Kaiser in Santa Clara. He was going on to make a difference in the medical field.
Despite the tragic loss, I’m glad we were able to reconnect and catch up. I think seeing old and familiar faces is a good thing for them in this difficult time. I hope the New Year is something that they can look forward to and it symbolizes a new beginning. My thoughts and prayers are continuously going out to them and their family. <3
